Total Spirit comes first

Before evaluating reservations, calculate your total Spirit. The planner combines campaign Spirit, flat gear Spirit, and increased Spirit modifiers into a single total.

That total is the budget your persistent effects must fit inside.

Reserved Spirit is the active cost

Every enabled aura, buff, minion package, or meta gem contributes to reserved Spirit. The more effects you enable, the less unreserved Spirit remains.

A setup can look fine with one or two effects active, then fail once a trigger gem or another minion reservation is added.

Remaining Spirit tells you if the setup works

Remaining Spirit equals total Spirit minus reserved Spirit. A positive number means the planned setup fits. A negative number means the build is overreserved.

The planner highlights overreservation because it is one of the easiest build mistakes to make when theorycrafting from a list of desired skills.

Support and patch changes matter

Reservation values can be affected by gem choices, balance changes, and game updates. Treat every guide value as a planning aid, not a permanent rule.

After a patch, rebuild the setup in the calculator and confirm the final values in game.

FAQ

Why does my planned setup show overreserved?

Your active reservations cost more Spirit than your current total. Add Spirit, reduce reservation, or disable one of the planned effects.

Does the calculator replace checking in game?

No. It is a planning tool. Final values should be checked in game, especially after patches or gear changes.

Plan the setup

Use the reservation guide and overreserved troubleshooting page if your setup fails the budget check.
